Privacy Policy
Website notice updated: 11 October 2026 · Version 3
This notice describes information handled through Dev Bhoomi Samiti’s website and related enquiry and donation records.
Information you provide
- Donation forms collect your name, email, phone number, chosen amount and area of support. PAN, postal address and the request for tax documentation are optional. Monthly giving requires separate consent to recurring payments.
- Contact forms collect your name, email, enquiry topic and message, with an optional phone number.
- Volunteer, career and partnership forms collect the contact details, location, skills, availability, organisation details and proposals you enter. Please share only information relevant to your request.
- Beneficiary visit requests collect the visitor’s name and phone number, optional email, group size, preferred date or time slot, visit purpose, optional access or communication arrangements and the agreement recorded with the request. Please include any accompanying support person in the group size, and do not send diagnoses or medical records. Authorised coordinators use these details to review availability, contact the visitor and record arrangements, approval or cancellation; they are not published in community updates.
- We keep payment references, verified payment status, donation and refund amounts, subscription references and acknowledgement records to administer contributions.
Payments and public donor names
Razorpay processes online payments and returns payment references and status to our systems. Do not send us card security codes, banking passwords or OTPs. Where a campaign offers an Anonymous option, it controls the name shown in the public donor list; authorised staff still need the underlying record to reconcile payments and provide documentation.
How information is used
We use records to process and reconcile donations, provide acknowledgements and applicable tax documentation, respond to enquiries, assess applications and coordinate programme work. Transaction messages about your payment or request are separate from optional fundraising messages. To request that optional fundraising messages stop, email us with the contact address or number concerned and the subject “Stop fundraising messages”. Necessary messages about an existing transaction or request may continue.
Service providers, cookies and analytics
Our hosting, payment and communications providers process information needed to operate these services. The public website also uses analytics and Meta Pixel measurement. These services may receive device/browser information, visited pages and conversion information such as a donation amount and event reference. The website’s custom Meta integration does not attach donor names, emails, phone numbers, PAN or postal addresses. Third-party services operate under their own privacy notices. Browser privacy settings can limit tracking; disabling essential cookies can affect forms and payments.
Access, retention and corrections
Administrative records are available to authorised staff according to their access. Payment and accounting records may need to be retained for reconciliation, audits and applicable record-keeping obligations. Other records should be kept only while needed for the request or programme. Contact us to ask what information we hold, correct a record, request deletion or raise a privacy concern. Some records cannot be erased while a legal obligation or unresolved transaction requires them. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your own record.
Public documents and external links
Our published Bye-Laws are a redacted public copy. Please report any document that appears to disclose private information using the contact below; include its page URL, without repeating the private details. External websites have their own data practices.
